Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Covo ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Covo mobile application (the "App" or the "Service").

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information such as your name, address, phone number, or biometric identifiers. We collect only the minimum data required to operate the App and deliver its functionality.

1.1. User Content

Your uploaded photos are sent to a third-party AI service for processing. See Section 7 for details.

1.2. Technical Data (Non-Personal)

These identifiers cannot identify you as an individual, and are removed when you delete the App or ask us to delete your data (see Section 4).

4. Storage and Deletion of Photos and Files

4.1. Storage

Uploaded photos, reference images, and generated results are stored on our servers (Google Cloud, United States) to enable the Service.

4.2. Deleting Your Data

You can delete an individual project in the App at any time, which removes that project's photos and designs. To delete all of your stored data at once, email us at hello@appcovo.com and we will permanently delete:

Deleting the App also removes your anonymous session from the device. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We reserve the right to remove stored content after a prolonged period of inactivity to manage server resources, so we recommend saving important designs to your device.

Your Apple subscription is billed by Apple and must be cancelled separately in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting your Covo data does not cancel an Apple subscription.

5. Subscriptions and Payment Processing

All subscription purchases are processed through the Apple App Store.

We receive only:

We never receive your credit card details, Apple ID email, billing address, or any payment information. Subscription management (cancellation, refunds) is handled entirely by Apple.

6. Age Requirements

The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not contain age-restricted content.

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent user data.

We only share minimal required data with service providers that help operate the App, such as:

These providers cannot use your data for their own purposes. We may disclose limited information only if required by law.

7.1. Third-Party AI Data Processing

The App uses third-party AI services provided by Google to generate room designs. When you use any generation feature:

Photos are processed only to fulfil your request. Per Google's API terms, photos sent to the Gemini API are not used to train Google's models. These providers are contractually required to handle your data in accordance with applicable data protection standards and their own privacy policies, which provide protections consistent with this Privacy Policy.

7.2. Shopping Links and Amazon

Covo suggests real products you can buy. Product links point to Amazon. When you tap a product link, you leave Covo and open Amazon (in your browser or the Amazon app). From that point, Amazon collects and processes your information under Amazon's own privacy notice, which we do not control.

We do not share your personal information with Amazon. Affiliate tracking works through a tag inside the link, and Amazon reports only aggregate, non-identifying commission data back to us. As an Amazon Associate, Covo earns from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards:

No system is fully immune to risks, but we take reasonable measures to protect stored data.

Since we do not collect or store personal data (no accounts, no emails, no names), certain data protection rights (such as data correction or export) have limited application.

For California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. Categories of information we collect include device identifiers, usage data, and user-generated content (photos). We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may request deletion of your data by contacting hello@appcovo.com.

For European and UK Users (GDPR): If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of your data. Our legal bases for processing are your consent (uploading photos for processing) and our legitimate interest (operating the Service). To exercise your rights, contact hello@appcovo.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes means acceptance of the updated Policy.
